The 22nd Annual Emerald City Insulator/Bottle Collector’s Show (and Potluck) will take place on Saturday, March 12th, in the gym at B.F. Day Elementary School (3921 Linden Ave N). Collectors and distributors of these unique items will be on-hand, starting at 10a, to display, sell and trade with the general public. To participate in the potluck, bring something to share at lunchtime.
The show offers a unique opportunity to see and hear about electrical insulators, a historic and truly beautiful artifact rarely seen by most of the population up-close. To learn about the past-time, and passion, of the collectors of these glass and ceramic treasures, read a column posted on Fremocentrist.com last year, or stop by the show and take a look for yourself. For more information call Gil Hedges-Blanquez at 206/329-1413 or Robin Harrison at 206/522-2135.
