Seattle’s Largest Taco Challenge At Fremont Sunday Market May 6th
On Sunday, May 6th, the Fremont Sunday Market will host the 6th Annual Food Truck Taco Challenge from 10a – 4p.
Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!

The complete line-up has been announced for the BECU ZooTunes concert series at the Woodland Park Zoo this summer. Presented with Carter Subaru, tickets are now on-sale for this popular series of concerts, shown on the lawn at the Zoo, and likely to sell out.

In support of their new reggae-influenced Grateful Dead cover album, the Roots of Creation will play at Nectar Lounge on May 3rd. This reggae jam fusion band are a touring powerhouse, offering a high-energy, infectious live music experience, performing on May 3rd with the Ethan Tucker Band.
On Tuesday, May 1st, at 5p, the Fremont Arts Council will hold its annual May Day celebration to the Spring. This family-friendly, all-ages party will take place in the Woodland Park Picnic Shelter #6, off Whitman Ave N & N 63rd St (next to the horseshoe courts.)
The Claret Wine Bar has opened in the Brooks Building on Stone Way, adjoining a newly re-vamped Thackeray Kitchen & Bar. Claret and Thackeray are both part of the Heavy Restaurant Group, best known in our area for the popular Pablo Y Pablo restaurant.
The Lake Union Livaboard Association (LULA) will be holding its Social & Membership Event on Sunday, April 29th, at the Puget Sound Yacht Club, and everyone who lives on Lake Union is welcome to reserve a place at the free gathering.
