Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. September is Hunger Action Month, and our local food bank FamilyWorks is trying to raise $6,000 to fund its programs – particularly the Greenwood Food Resource Center. Thanks to an anonymous donor, every donation will be matched this month, up to $500.
