She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. On August 6th, from 10a – 4p, at Meridian Park in Wallingford, check out local food & urban farming offerings at Seattle Tilth’s Annual Harvest Fair.
At the next Wallingford Community Council meeting, on August 3rd at 7p, the public can hear about upcoming improvements planned for Gas Works Park.
On August 5th, help raise money for Nepal Peace Home while enjoying live, original music by Jessica Dobson, Bryan John Apple, Zach Bolen and Shay Carlucci. At a concert held in the Great Hall of the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, hear new music while making life better for the children.
On Sunday, July 31st, between 6p – 9p, enjoy a ‘Sneak Peek Pop-Up’ in fine dining from chef Scott Emerick and ‘really smart wine dude’ Ian Harris, all in the comfort and tranquility of Vif Wine | Coffee in Upper Fremont.
In the Fremont Google offices, on August 4th, from 9a – 12:30p, more than 80 local non-profits will be given training in using valuable on-line tools for mobile fundraising, AdWords, and story visualization. Through Google for Nonprofits more good work can be done by area non-profits – faster, easier and at lower cost.
Please vote by August 2nd! Registered voters should have received a ballot in mid-July, and right now is an excellent time to sit down and fill it out – and mail it or drop it in a King County ballot drop-box (the closest to Fremont is at the Ballard Branch Library,) by Tuesday, August 2nd.
Don’t miss a change to learn with great teachers, on July 30th & 31st, for two days of sexy urban-style Bachata, at Salsa Con Todo. Javier and Erica will teach Bachata Dominica, Romantic Bachata and styling/technique workshops over the final weekend of July.
Over four Tuesdays – August 2nd, 16th, 23rd and 30th – from 7p – 8:30p, learn and review the Progressive Stages of Meditation on Emptiness (Level I) with local NalandaWest teachers.
On Monday, July 25th, the Fremont Neighborhood Council will meet, at 7p, at Doric Lodge #92, to discuss issues and concerns of residents – including the abrupt declaration by City of Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, last week, dissolving the city’s official relationship – and responsiveness – to the District Council system.
