Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. Over Solstice Weekend, June 17th – 19th, over 60 art cars, and their car-tists, will be at the Fremont Fair as the Seattle Art Car Blowout (SACBO.) Come party with these practical yet creative folks, and enjoy their display from the inside, with purchase of a ridiculously inexpensive ticket.
The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) has asked participants in the Solstice Cyclists Bike Ride, on Saturday, June 18th, to pre-register. Riders who plan to strip down, paint up and wheel out before the legendary performance art parade are asked to sign-up by e-mail address in advance.
On Wednesday, June 15th, at Noon at Gasworks Park, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual picnic, rain-or-shine, in the shelter at our waterfront industrial park.
