She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!

Help Celebrate An Armadillo’s 25th At Woodland Park Zoo

On April 20th, Maria reached new potentials, for three-banded armadillos. She celebrated her 25th birthday, with a festive ‘cake’ topped with her favorite bugs, and can now claim her place as the oldest living among her species and mark the occasion, with friends and fans, at her home since 2000, the Woodland Park Zoo.

Westlake Cycle Track Construction Update

The City of Seattle Department of Transportation continues to work on building a cycle track in the parking area along the Westlake corridor, including striping and asphalt pouring. At West of Lenin, Kevin Kent continues to create and entertain audiences with his completely unique new show, ‘Eulogy’, now on through Saturday, April 23rd. The run of this incredible production, featuring Kent at his drag best as ‘Eleanor Mae’, telling stories woven off the images of photos provided by the audience, has been extended – providing more opportunities for those unfamiliar to attend, and for those who’ve been to go back and see what new stories (and photos) appear.
