Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!
On Saturday, February 27th, from 10a – 2p, the Seattle Rose Society will host its annual free rose pruning demonstration at the Rose Garden in Woodland Park Zoo.
The fundraising HopScotch Spring Beer & Scotch Festival has been renamed the Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest, and is coming on Easter weekend – March 25th & 26th – to the Fremont Studios.
On February 22nd, at 7p at Doric Lodge #92, the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) will hold its monthly public meeting. Fremont residents are encouraged to attend, hear the updates about our neighborhood and voice their own concerns.
On Sunday, February 21st, from 2p – 5p, Vif Wine|Coffee café will host their First Oyster Fest. Held indoors and outdoors (bundle up,) Vif will also provide other delicious foods and amazing wines paired with the delectable Hama Hama oysters.
This month, Paul Nathan and Frank Olivier have brought back to Fremont their two incredibly entertaining and creative shows. At Hale’s Palladium, for two more weeks, enjoy ‘Frank Olivier’s Twisted Cabaret’ and ‘The I Hate Children Children’s Show’. Both shows bring laughs and crazy fun to an afternoon or evening.
