On Monday, December 21st only, at 7:30p, the Christmas B-Sides & Rarities returns to West of Lenin (WofL) for its annual dark and bluesy take on the yuletide.
Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. On Monday, December 21st, the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) will once again host their annual, art-filled celebration of the longest night of the year, with a potluck, music, and ritual – and, most important of all, the supportive, caring arts community gathered together. The Feast of the Winter Solstice is a visual and sensory experience unlike anything else done at this time of the year, a family-friendly entertainment for all, until 11p when it transforms into a grown-up DJ-ed dance party.
The City of Seattle will be dividing up its Department of Planning & Development (DPD) in the new year. With the retirement of DPD Director Diane Sugimura, the department that handles building permits, land use zoning, occupancy, and inspections, will be split in two.
