Fremont Outdoor Cinema 2015 Schedule Announced
Yesterday, the folks at the Fremont Outdoor Cinema announced the schedule, on Facebook, around which many Fremonsters plan their summer.
Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!

The popular Prince & Michael Jackson Experience with DJ Dave Paul returns to Nectar Lounge on Friday, May 22nd, starting at 9p. Playing album cuts, B-sides, un-released tracks, remixes, 12” versions and hits from the two artists, there will be much more to this party than just music – including theme dancing, and a face-off between guests repping The Purple One or The King Of Pop.
Nominations are being accepted, until May 31st, for the 2015 Mayor’s Arts Awards. These awards recognize the accomplishments of artists, arts and cultural organizations and community members committed to enriching their communities through the arts.
On June 20th, at 3p, the 27th Annual Solstice Parade, as produced by the Fremont Arts Council (FAC), takes to the streets of our fun and festive community. This outrageous spectacle requires hundreds of volunteers to create – and two particular volunteer positions are absolutely vital. Can you consider helping, and recruiting friends to help as well?

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) meeting (which usually takes place on the fourth Monday of the month) will take place on May 18th, at 7p at Doric Lodge #92.
The replacement of the 100-year-old Fremont Siphon has begun, and traffic detours will be part of this almost two-year-long construction project. The King County Wastewater Treatment Division wants everyone to be aware, and prepared, for the impacts of this project.
