She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. On Monday, February 2nd, at 8p, the City of Seattle Department of Planning & Development will host an Early Design Guidance meeting on a new office/retail building planned for 744 N 34th St.

Last week the Fremont Chamber of Commerce hosted a presentation on commercial loans for businesses, given by Debbie Webber, VP Commercial Relationship Manager for HomeStreet Bank, and Teresa Murphy AVP of Commercial Relationship Manager, also with HomeStreet. At The Barrel Thief, Webber and Murphy talked about what it takes to build a financially healthy business, and getting a loan to help to grow it.

The Ferry Kalakala that inspired artists for many years in Fremont is now scheduled for salvage and demolition in Tacoma, according to a report in The Seattle Times.
