Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. According to a blog post written by Rebecca Whitham, the jaguar cubs at Woodland Park Zoo have made their debut to visitors – and in the rain. The three-month-old jaguar triplets (brother Kuwan and sisters Inka and Arizona) had their first practice session outside on July 27th.
On Sunday, July 14th, between 7a – 1p, the third annual See Jane Run Women’s Half Marathon & 5K Race will begin and end inside Gas Works Park. Utilizing the Burke-Gilman Trail and area sidewalks, the race route will take runners around Lake Union – including portions of Fremont. Racers are expected to impact Fremont area traffic most between 8a – 10a.
