The City Of Seattle wants to encourage graffiti paint outs around our area this summer. This July and August, join together for a Summer Paint Out – whether as a group or an individual.
Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!

This Sunday, June 16th, at 2p, enjoy another installment of the 9th Annual Music In The Sculpture Garden concert series in the covered courtyard of History House. This week the free, open-to-the-public concert features original music by singer-songwriters Stanley & Kip Greenthal and traditional and original Shetland music by North Sea.
The existing Seattle Police Department North Precinct is slated for replacement.
The community based effort to improve the playground surrounding the historic B.F. Day Elementary School building continues to move forward, with playground equipment selection and construction expected this summer.

At the Fremont Fair, June 21st – 23rd, art in every form – from body paint to community sculptures – can be found along the streets of the Center of the Universe. This celebration of “De Libertas Quirkas,” (the Freedom to Be Peculiar) can be enjoyed through the artistic whimsies of chalk art, handmade jewelry, and live music.
Last week, on Sunday, June 2nd, Peter Glick Restaurants (Roxy’s Diner/The Backdoor/Pete’s Fremont Fire Pit) hosted a very successful BBQ Extravaganza – and raised money to make the 25th Solstice Parade (coming June 22nd at 3p) a reality.
Recently, Kvichak Marine Industries delivered Patrol 28, a 28’ x 9’3” all-aluminum vessel to the Boston Police Department Harbor Patrol (BPD.)
This weekend, June 8th & 9th, our local museum, History House of Greater Seattle, offers two free, enriching afternoon’s entertainments appropriate for all ages.
Tomorrow, Friday, June 7th, the Fremont Fun Run & Briefcase Relay will race down N 34th St, starting near Fremont Ave N.
