Mobile Food Rodeo Gets Corralled In Fremont May 6th

Come hungry! The Mobile Food Rodeo debuted as the largest showcase for mobile food trucks (taco wagons, hot dog stands, etc.) on the west coast last September with over 7,000 people in attendance! This year, admission is FREE and activities will be added to the street food festival, on May 6th, from Noon to 7p, in Fremont!

CWB To Open New North Lake Union Facility on May 4th & 5th

The new Center for Wooden Boats Workshop & Warehouse, located at 1475 N Northlake Place just west of Gas Works Park, will formally open on Friday, May 4th, from 5:30p – 7p, with an official dedication ceremony. On Saturday, May 5th, the official opening day of boating season, a community open house and tours will take place from 10a – 2p.

Please Participate In Two Upcoming Design Review Meetings

On Monday, April 30th, everyone interested in the future of Fremont – and particularly the Stone Way portion – is strongly encouraged (by both the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Chamber of Commerce) to attend a Design Review Board Meeting scheduled for 8p at the University Heights Community Center. This will be another follow-up on the proposed 34Stone development, a Skanska mixed-use building currently slated as, in part, the new headquarters for Brooks Sports, and being built to the Living Building Pilot Program standards.

Celebrate May Day with Fremont Arts Council

On Tuesday, May 1st, the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) will gather to celebrate May Day – and they welcome everyone with a spirit to celebrate to join in the community revelry. Gathering will begin at 5p at Lower Woodland Park (reportedly near the Bocce ball courts) with the weaving of the ribbons on the may pole about 6p and a potluck supper after 6:30p.
