Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!

Get A Full Helping of Pickled Okra at Gypsy This Saturday, January 14th

On Saturday, January 14th, starting at 7p, local band Pickled Okra will entertain their fans, and soon-to-be fans, at The Gypsy café, as they celebrate the release of their new CD, called ‘Sounds Like Chicken.’ The CD will be given out free to all ticket buyers. Purchase yours today for $12 in advance (on Brown Paper Tickets) and $15 at the door (ages 18 and under get in free.)

‘Peter Pan’ Continues at Hale’s Palladium

Got the post-holiday, winter weather blues? Brighten up your life, and laugh yourself silly, with the Fremont Players (and the Fremont Philharmonic) in the British Panto production of ‘Peter Pan.’ Declared “rowdy and playfully irreverent,” by ParentMap, this family friendly show will leave adults rolling just as much as the kids.

Fremont Historical Plaque Tour Now On-Line

Celebrate the history of Fremont – history of the settlement of the area in the late 1800s – through a series of plaques to be installed around the neighborhood. The first four have been installed, with more to come in 2012 to form a tour of the area, and information on the project can now be at www.fremonthistorytour.org.
