Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!

Fremont Siphon Sewer Project Moves Forward

After investigating a range of alternatives, King County has set in place a plan to replace the existing Fremont Siphon – a critical wastewater conveyance line – with a new crossing under the Lake Washington Ship Canal. Two microtunnels will be built just west of the existing siphon, under the canal, and connected to the North Interceptor conveyance pipelines on the north and south sides.

Fremont Neighborhood Council Distributes RFP For Media Savvy Expert

The Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) has a Request For Proposals (RFP) for distribution, to locate a media savvy expert able to assist with streamlining their web and social media communications. The project has received funds from a Seattle Communities Online Boost Grant from the City of Seattle’s Department of Information Technology’s Community Technology Program, matched in part by the FNC.

Lovefest This Weekend!

On August 27th & 28th, the Northwest Lovefest music festival will take place at the foot of Stone Way, on the doorstep of Solsticio. The festival does feature games, vendors and plenty of information on enviro-friendly, and community-building programs and organizations – as well as art!
