Kirby has been in Fremont for a lifetime, as a resident, employee, employer, and playmate. She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!

Open Call for Musicians at the Paul Frank ‘Academy of Awesome’

On Friday, September 2nd, the Paul Frank ‘Academy of Awesome’ tour hits Fremont (Winnebago and all) and they need musicians! Along with games, exhibits and contests (plus, the Puppy Prom!) the show includes a stage to showcase the incredible talent among local musicians, who can win the chance at exposure to a nation-wide audience.

Historic Mt. Rainier Climb Launched From Fremont

In July, the Silence-Heart-Nest staff hosted Nimdoma Sherpa, of the Kingdom of Nepal. Nimdoma holds the record as the youngest woman ever to climb Mt. Everest. She climbed at age 16, celebrated her birthday on the mountain and summited at age 17. Now age 19, Nimdoma, the youngest woman ever to be on top of the world, has completed a mountain-climbing world tour including Mt. Rainier.

Ignite Seattle 15 Brings A Quick Opportunity To Be Enlightened To Fremont

On Saturday, August 20th, starting at 7:00p, Ignite Seattle 15 invites audience members to fill the Outdoor Cinema lot for a series of five-minute talks meant to enlighten, educate and entertain. The talks come accompanied by projected slide images that automatically change every 15 seconds. With swift pacing, varied topics and engaging speakers, the evening promises to live up to the tagline – ‘Enlighten Us, But Make It Quick.’ Tickets, sold at the gates, cost $5, and the gathering will start at 8p.
