Free Screening of A Locally Made Documentary On The Fremont Troll

On Wednesday, August 1st, at 7p, at Hale’s Palladium, the Fremont community is invited to a special free screening of the documentary ‘The Hall Of Giants’, presented by Anarky Productions. This feature-length documentary, directed by Michael Falcone, gives the background about the creation and mythology about the fabulous, and much beloved, Fremont Troll sculpture.

Farewell J.P. Patches – Chris Wedes

‘Bye-bye for now!’ On Sunday, July 22nd, Chris Wedes passed away at age 84. Wedes, who had battled cancer for years, was very well known to native Seattlites (and Fremonsters) as Julius Pierpont Patches – or J.P. Patches to the ‘Patches Pals’ that grew up watching his Emmy winning television program.

Show Pony Second Store Opens In L.A.

Fremont women’s boutique, Show Pony, has recently opened its second location – in Los Angeles, California. Owner Stephanie Hara will introduce some of the Northwests best designers and products to SoCal, on West Third Street.

Second Sculpture Garden Show This Sunday

On Sunday, June 10th, at 2p, the second free acoustic concert in the Music In The Sculpture Garden series takes place at History House. Produced by John Nordstrand, these concerts showcase some of the best musical talents in the Puget Sound – in a covered courtyard, and a family friendly setting.

This week two local singer-songwriters – Kevin Jones and Ron Wiley – will entertain audiences with original songs.
