Wallingford Senior Center Offers Class In Pastel Art
On Thursday, January 24th, from 1p – 3:30p, the Wallingford Community Senior Center will host a Mix & Match Art Class – focused on the use of pastels.

Classes in Ikebana take place on Wednesdays from 7:15p – 9:15p, and on Thursdays from Noon – 2p. The classes in November take place on the 7th, 8th, 28th, and 29th – and all classes are open for beginners to advanced students.
The Urban Earth Nursery, in East Fremont, still has plenty to share and sell for Fremont gardeners. The urban garden experts will also be giving tips and tricks for creating a satisfying garden for the Fall and Winter.
Over the weekend of October 12th – 14th, Salsa Con Todo presents a series of workshops by Gilson Damasco in Zouk. Over three days, Master Zouk Instructor Gilson Damasco will teach an exciting series of workshops, for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
This Fall, a free, open writing workshop series continues at the Fremont Branch Library – and at many other branches city-wide. As part of the annual Seattle Writes program, the Seattle Public Library will host over 35 writing workshops through the end of November.
The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) is currently preparing for its annual lantern walk around Green Lake, on the Autumnal Equinox. In preparation, the FAC will host a series of workshops in building lanterns, for the use of participants and for sale as a fundraiser for the Luminata Lantern Walk.
On the weekend of August 24th, NalandaWest will host a discussion with Marcia Schmidt, editor of ‘Dakini Activity: The Dynamic Play of Awakening.’
At Dusty Strings Music School, on August 19th, learn from Broadway actor and musician David Finch about realizing the songs of Woody Guthrie, as he did in the show ‘Woody Sez’ at Seattle Repertory Theatre, and on Broadway.
In late September, over Oktoberfest weekend (Sep 21st – 23rd,) The Painting Experience will return to Fremont for a weekend of process creativity and transformation. At Windows Art Gallery, Annie Rousseau and Lydia Marshall will lead this weekend workshop for personal growth through painting and expression in a safe environment.
On Monday, July 16th, from 6:30p – 8:30p, the Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar will be host a one-night course through the North Seattle College called the ‘Choose Your European Wine Tour,’ as taught by Sommelier David LeClaire and Barrel Thief owner (and expert) Christopher Gronbeck.
