This fall, starting in late-September, classes will get underway for those wanting to explore their creativity. This 12-week series of classes, taught to the workbook ‘The Artist’s Way,’ by Julia Cameron, will help those who think they can’t be creative, and those wishing to build on their creative ways.
It’s time to spiff up the SPACE art installation, at N 36th St & Evanston Ave N. The Fremont Chamber of Commerce and the Fremont Arts Council have both contributed money for equipment and materials – all that is needed now is the people-power! On Sunday, August 19th, the U-Park lot at North 35th St & N Phinney Ave that shows movies all summer, becomes a place of enlightenment and electronics. At 3:30p, ThingOut brings gizmos and an electronics swap meet to Fremont, and at 7:30p, Ignite Seattle 17 brings us enlightenment, but makes it quick!
On Saturday, August 18th, from 11a – 3p, Groundspeak – the global geocaching leaders – will celebrate International Geocaching Day with a Block Party full of fun, family-friendly activities (many of them free,) that could attract up to 2,000 people from around the world!
The Seattle Art Cars – a favorite feature of the Fremont Fair each year – appeared in the Greenwood Seafair Parade on July 25th, and took 2nd Place from the judges in the ‘wheeled division’.
This Saturday, August 11th, the Fremont Outdoor Movies adds a touch of class as the movie ‘Sideways’ lights up the wall, and a wine garden (ID required, 21+ only) allows tastings of a few, select vintages for those sipping under the stars.
