Held Over By Popular Demand – FAC Rummage Sale

This Saturday & Sunday, April 9th & 10th, grab some bargains – while supporting the Solstice Parade! The annual Fremont Arts Council (FAC) Rummage Sale will be open for business from 9a – 4p each day, at the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Ave N,) selling a great variety of donated items from local artists, organizations and other fabulous Fremonsters.

The Double (XX) Fest Hits Stone Soup This Week

Stone Soup Theatre has an incredible opportunity going on over the next three weeks, April 7th – 24th, for lovers of live theater as well as those simply looking to see new talent or find an entertaining way to pass time. The Double (XX) Play Fest kicks-off this weekend with performances of 11 short plays written by, and directed by, women.

Moisture Festival is in its final week for 2011, and the incredible, indescribable vaudeville revival show appears to be going out with a big, wet bang!

Moisture Festival Goes To Georgetown

This week, the Moisture Festival continues to reign delighted grins and shocked stares at Hale’s Palladium – as well as sophisticated silliness and elevated eyebrows at ACT, with the burlesque and Grand Varieté shows. However, Moisture will also hit the road – and for the 2nd year show audiences how the beautiful Georgetown Ballroom welcomes the whimsical, wild and wonderful vaudeville revival Festival.

Got Gently Used Junk? The FAC Wants You – To Donate It!

This week, from 6p – 9p, on Wed – Fri, the Fremont Arts Council needs donation of cast-off treasures, expendable collectables, and dismissible relics. Look around…is there anything that you no longer really need, but someone else could truly treasure – and might pay the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) to buy? Bring it to the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Ave N.)

Office/Retail Space For Lease

Kirk Richmond has announced that his space, at Far East Handicrafts, is currently for lease. The 1,600 square foot commercial space, at 127 N 36th, could accomodate a wide variety of uses. For more information, call 206/633-1950. As Far East shifts to a new business model – check out their new website! – they are looking to share or give up their retail location…and sales on select merchandise will be coming soon.

Moisture Festival First Week – Don’t Miss Out!

An e-mail broadcast has gone out – get tickets to the first week of Moisture Festival before it sells out! That’s right, the one, the only Moisture Festival Variete/Comedy show has returned to Fremont, and Hale’s Palladium. Starting on St. Patty’s Day (March 17th) to run through Sunday, April 10th (with the not-to-be-missed April Fool’s Show on April 1st,) tickets to the frivolous fun, tremendous talent and wacky weirdness can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets, as well as at the doors…unless they sell out!

FAC Board Elects New President for 2011

At the monthly meeting of the Fremont Arts Council on February 8th, the election closed for the 2011 Board of Directors. Board Member Barb Luecke sent an e-mail out on February 27th to the FAC e-group reporting that the Board has now elected as their president Michael Clark.
