On Monday, March 28th, from 7p – 8:30p, the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) will hold its monthly meeting, at Doric Lodge #92, with presentations by two important City representatives, and updates on area issues.
Volunteers are still needed to sign-up for the Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest on March 25th & 26th, to contribute to this entertaining, and educational, fundraising event. Volunteers are most critically needed for Saturday, March 26th, from 8p – 11:45p, to help the Seattle Scotch Fest raise money for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Community Grant program.

On Sunday, March 6th, starting at 8p, The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar will launch a weekly gathering for those working in the service and hospitality industry – around Fremont and everywhere in the region.
Next week, on Wednesday, March 2nd at 7:15p and Thursday, March 3rd at Noon, everyone is invited to take a one-time-only class – or join the series – in The Art of Ikebana.
On Saturday, February 27th, from 3p – 5p, at the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library, newly elected Seattle Board Member Rick Burke will be on-hand to talk about our schools.
Applications are due March 6th for those interested in joining the Seattle Tilth free volunteer training program, and learning how to be a Master Composter /Soil Builder this spring.
On Saturday, February 27th, from 10a – 2p, the Seattle Rose Society will host its annual free rose pruning demonstration at the Rose Garden in Woodland Park Zoo.
Next weekend, Feb 20th & 21st, Salsa Con Todo will host special Salsa workshops, led by David and Jennifer Stein of Majesty In Motion. These amazing, visiting artists will teach musicality, technique and styling to students of all ages, and all experience levels.
On Friday & Saturday, February 19th & 20th, learn about the progressive stages of meditation at NalandaWest, with resident teacher Acharya Lhakpa Tshering.
