On Friday, February 3rd, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk offers a chance to stroll and scope out the selection of art, and artists, available at area shops and restaurants. This monthly, free exploration of assorted Fremont art venues gives everyone a chance for an injection of culture and inspiration.
On Saturday, February 4th, from 4p – 7p, VAM Studios will host a Grand Opening celebration where our community can get in to see the studios, meet the teachers and welcome this latest opportunity for creative and movement arts, at 720 N 35th St.
The Seattle Public Library Fremont Branch has several upcoming activities, all free, where community members can come together to learn, play and build on our resources, at Talk Time, Book Club, and Unplug & Play.
Moisture Festival will entertain hundreds of delighted audience members March 16th – April 9th, 2017 at Hale’s Palladium. As always, the best way to guarantee your seat for this year’s varieté/vaudeville shows is to buy tickets early, and book your opportunity for more fun than you ever knew a single stage could offer.
This weekend and next (January 19th – 28th,) at 8p at West of Lenin, Robert Lopez, as Mister Bob, presents ‘The Unhappy Hour’. This 70-minute journey, delivered with world weary wit, is a warning for the coming end of daze, accompanied by piano.
On Wednesday, January 18th, at the new Aegis Living At Rodgers Park, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce hosted its popular Breakfast of Shameless Self-Promotion. This meeting gives area businesses, and non-profits, a chance to share their story with others – and Fremocentrist readers.
On Thursday, January 19th, at 5:30p, members of the theater community – from Broadway to community theaters to school drama programs – will come together to light the night, and launch ‘The Ghostlight Project’. This showing of support will include a gathering at Fremont’s own West of Lenin.
On Mondays, from 4p – 6p, through March 27th, Literacy Source will be hosting free ‘Talk Time’ – topic-driven conversational English discussions, followed by an hour of focused tutoring. Students, and volunteers, are welcomed and encouraged to join in this educational experience, held at the Fremont Branch Library.
