Friday, December 2nd to Sunday, December 4th, Fremont Festivus will be celebrated at the Center of the Universe. Come stroll the ‘hood, and its great collection of shops and restaurants, while we see in the season of cookies, community and crass commercialism!
On Thursday, December 1st, at the TK Lofts in Pioneer Square find a very special, and serious, retrospective show and sale of the art of Roger Wheeler.
The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) will once again hold its annual celebration of the darkest, longest night of the year – the Feast of the Winter Solstice on December 21st. On Monday, November 28th at 7p, at The Powerhouse, the FAC will hold an official planning meeting for this year’s celebration – which will not be a public event.
When considering your shopping list this season, please include items from our stores and restaurants – and thereby, keep them in business.
Last Wednesday, November 16th, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce hosted its monthly general meeting at The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar. On December 14th, at the Fremont Studios (next door to Mischief,) the Chamber will host its community celebration.
The first weekend in December is now Fremont Festivus, and plenty of fun and free activities are being planned for the enjoyment of local families – and everyone looking for ways to enjoy the holiday season in festive (and fabulously funky) ways!
On Saturday, November 19th, from 2p – 6p, the Naturopathic Family Medicine clinic will host an Aloha Party for Dr. Tamara Evans.
On Friday, November 18th, at 8p, The Panel Jumper Live celebration of the magic of comic books will take the stage at West of Lenin with an evening of variety performances.
On Thursday, November 17th, during Fremont Third Thursday several area boutiques will be offering discounts, special products and promotions. This is a great time to start holiday shopping – or just find something fabulous for yourself!
Next week, on November 16th at Noon, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host a discussion on the Wine, Beer & Spirits Industry. In addition, as part of a new educational meeting segment, Christopher Gronbeck of The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar will talk for a few minutes about his unique mission for creating a better informed client base. At its October meeting, the Chamber welcomed consultant Berry Zimmerman, of BizEnrich, for a 5-minute presentation on introducing your business, and involving others in helping you grow it.
