King County Celebrates Juneteenth, And The End Of Slavery

This week, the Metropolitan King County Council issued a proclamation in support of the Seattle Central Area Chamber of Commerce for recognition of Juneteenth, and African-American Independence Day. Juneteenth celebrates the day people in Texas were told that, as part of the United States of America, African-Americans were free and slavery was abolished.

A Picnic-In-The-Park To Celebrate Fremont’s Maritime Industry

On Wednesday, June 15th, at Noon at Gasworks Park, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual picnic, rain-or-shine, in the shelter at our waterfront industrial park.
