On Sunday, May 1st, starting at 3p, the Fremont Arts Council will hold their annual celebration of spring, the rites of fertility, and rebirth, at the Lower Woodland Park Shelter #6. Bring friends, family and children of all ages to the May Day Potluck & Ribbon Weaving.
For the 2016 Fremont Fair, the music line-up has been announced. This year, everyone can enjoy music – for free – during all three days, June 17th – 19th, of this always spectacular celebration of the Summer Solstice.
On Thursday, April 28th, from 6p – 9p, Juniper Flowers, Chalk Boss and Sweet Pea Events will host their first Fremont, entry level workshop, called ‘Blooms & Chalk’, on spring floral design and hand lettering, for those looking to bring more beauty into their lives.

At West of Lenin, Kevin Kent continues to create and entertain audiences with his completely unique new show, ‘Eulogy’, now on through Saturday, April 23rd. The run of this incredible production, featuring Kent at his drag best as ‘Eleanor Mae’, telling stories woven off the images of photos provided by the audience, has been extended – providing more opportunities for those unfamiliar to attend, and for those who’ve been to go back and see what new stories (and photos) appear.
On Wednesday, April 20th, at 8a at Giddy Up Burgers & Greens, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will once again host a panel discussion on safety, on hazards and the best ways to house the homeless.
On Saturday, April 16th (at 11a & 1p) and Sunday, April 17th (also at 11a & 1p), Studio East will present another of their entertaining and educational theater productions for children when they bring Storybook Theater to Hale’s Palladium. This time the kids will meet ‘Sleeping Beauty’, and her potential prince. These two young people are learning to “follow your dream” while respecting the ways of parents and responsibility.
On Monday, April 11th, at 6:30p, the Fremont Branch Library will host its quarterly, and free, ‘Evening of Poetry’, co-produced with Floating Bridge Press, it features three poets reading their original works.
On April 12th at 8p, the Fremont Abbey Arts Center will host its 131st evening of The Round.
In an attempt to support local small businesses, and share the love of their employees for their community, Tableau is sponsoring a Cash Mob at Milstead & Co at Friday, April 8th at Noon.
