The FAC will host more lantern-making workshops, for those who want to light up the Troll, and the haunt to follow, with illuminated critters, creatures, ghouls, and monsters.
On Saturday, September 7th from 1p – 5p, join Batik artists Courtney Hann and Lisa Marcus for a public class on techniques to transform two ten-foot tall towers into a glowing waterfall for the Luminata Lantern Walk.
On Thursday, August 22nd, the Fremont Arts Council offers the first in its series of public, and free, lantern-building workshops at The Powerhouse. This is the season of preparation for the FAC’s Luminata Lantern Walk on September 21st, and part of it are workshops where anyone, of any age or skill level, can learn to build beautiful, art lanterns.
On Saturday, July 27th, at 3p, volunteers are needed, at 3623 Leary Way NW, to help clean-up the area used for building the incredible floats and fanfare that decorated the 2019 Fremont Solstice Parade.
Everyone who contributed to creating the spectacular Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade celebration art installation is invited to the Parade Afterglow Party on Saturday, June 29th from 7p – Midnight, at the Wallingford Senior Center.
The Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade is tomorrow, June 22nd, at 1p, and the spectacular display of Celebration Art will be led off by the Solstice Cyclists, and 100s of other Painted Bicycle Riders.
