The Fremont Street Fair returns on June 22nd & 23rd, offering two different days of festivities and entertainments, including the Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade, the Seattle Art Car Blowout, the Dog Parade, and live music performances.
On Saturday, June 22nd, at 1p, the Fremont Solstice Parade will dance its way through the Center of the Universe! Everyone can still get involved in creating this spectacular celebration, or just take part on the day.
The month of June is a month of celebration in Fremont, and the Fremont First Friday (FFF) Art Walk is a great kick-off to all our festivities! On Friday, June 7th, from 6p – 9p, stroll the Center of the Universe for a look at original art, and Fremont Fair posters, and a fundraiser for the Fremont Solstice Parade!
On Friday, May 31st, at 6p, many of Simon Neale’s friends and fans will gather for a potluck Memorial at Hale’s Palladium. Everyone is welcome to join in this celebration of the life of one of Fremont’s long-time contributors.
Today at the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) Powerhouse Open House there will be representatives from ensembles already registered to participate in the 2019 Fremont Solstice Parade, on June 22nd at 1p. These are the winners of the Dave McKay Grant funds, allowing them to realize their visions and bring more art to the Parade.
Last Thursday, May 9th, Simon Neale passed away, leaving a legacy of performance and friendship behind. Neale took part in Fremont Arts Council events, especially the Fremont Solstice Parade, and through collaborations begun there he created the Fremont Players and launched Moisture Festival as one of its founding producers.
On Saturday, May 18th, from 1p – 5p, the Fremont Arts Council welcomes everyone to come start the celebration of the Summer Solstice – and find your place in the 31st Annual Fremont Solstice Parade & Celebration coming on June 22nd.

On Wednesday, May 1st, starting at 3p, the FAC will celebrate May Day in the Lower Woodland picnic area near N 60th St and Aurora Avenue. Attendees are invited to wear white, bring potluck dishes, and be ready to dance and play – including weaving ribbons around the May Pole.
