Rotary Awards John M. Rose Distinction On Local Business and Community Volunteer

In November, the Rotary Club of Fremont presented its annual awards. In 2009, the Fremont Rotary (also known as the Fremont Fun Club) decided to formally name these awards in the name of their founding president, the late John M. Rose. Rose embodied many of the high ethical standards envisioned in these awards – and practiced by those to whom it is given. This year, the winners are Roxy’s Diner, for the Vocational Service Award, and Stacy Heilgeist, for the Community Service Award.

Lenin To Get Lit on Friday

On Friday, November 3rd, the Fremont community once again observes its odd twist on holiday celebrations with the now annual Lenin Lighting at 5p, in “Red Triangle” at 3526 Fremont Avenue North.

Advance tickets are now on sale for The Stranger Microbrew Garden at Fremont Oktoberfest, Seattle’s beer drinking tradition! Just $20 will secure admission, a souvenir Fremont Oktoberfest tasting mug and five tasting tokens. Or, guests can opt to boost their tasting experience with a grand admission or streamline it with a non-tasting admission. Ticket prices increase at the gate.
