On Friday, June 6th, Fremont Month kicks into full gear with the Fremont Briefcase Relay at 6p, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk from 6p – 9p, and the Fremont Fun Run at 7p.
On Saturday, May 31st, at 2p, at History House, enjoy the next in the Fremont Fireside Chat series of free presentations – this time out, learn about the history behind ‘Fremont Month’ (a.k.a. ‘June’ in common vernacular.)
On Friday, May 2nd, from 6p – 9p, get out and find art in its many guises. With the return of spring, and warmer spring weather, this is an ideal time to get out and discover the artists and venues of the Fremont First Friday Art Walk.
In November 2013, Fremont lost two important people – Jack A. Harvey, of Hoffner, Fisher & Harvey, and Dee Dee Rainbow, long-time supporter of the Fremont Fair.
On November 9th, at 3p, the Fremont Fireside Chat series – sponsored by HomeStreet Bank – will continue at History House of Greater Seattle with ‘The 1,003 Stories of Fremont.’
At the Fremont Fair this weekend, June 22nd & 23rd, kids can get their bounce out thanks to the Rotary Club of Fremont!
At the Fremont Fair, on June 22nd & 23rd, the King County Wastewater Treatment Team will have a booth. Team members will be able to talk to Fremonsters about the new facility that will be built in West Fremont in 2014.
At the Fremont Fair, June 21st – 23rd, art in every form – from body paint to community sculptures – can be found along the streets of the Center of the Universe. This celebration of “De Libertas Quirkas,” (the Freedom to Be Peculiar) can be enjoyed through the artistic whimsies of chalk art, handmade jewelry, and live music.
On Saturday, June 1st, Abbey Arts will host the ‘Early Show,’ a special noontime concert by local talents Red Jacket Mine, and Julia Massey & the Five Finger Discount, at the Fremont Fine Arts Abbey. Finally, music the kids will love – that won’t drive the adults crazy.
