The City of Seattle has launched a new initiative, called ‘Housing Choices’, and they are asking for citizens who will take a 10 minute survey on what housing, and housing amenities, we most think needed and necessary for our use.
Fremont residents, and all Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) members, are encouraged to attend the June 27th FNC meeting, starting at 7p at Doric Lodge #92. Throughout the meeting, our community will be given opportunities to learn about area projects and give feedback on what we want for Fremont, and our Neighborhood Council.
At its January 25th Board Meeting, the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) invited members of the City of Seattle Department of Planning & Community Development to discuss proposals coming under the Housing Affordability & Livability Agenda (HALA).
On August 13th, a huge crowd gathered behind Patrick Place to congratulate the many people who helped fund, build and populate this new low-income housing, maintained by Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington and located on Aurora Avenue (on the former Thunderbird Motel site.)
During the holidays, the Fremont Branch of Key Bank is collecting donations of specific housewares for the new residents of the Catholic Community Services low-income Patrick Place Apartments.
