Next weekend, September 13th & 14th, there will be only two opportunities to see the brand-new show by Frank Olivier at Hale’s Palladium. ‘Tricks To Happiness’ is another one-man tour de force by a consummate performer, known in Fremont for his ‘Twisted Cabaret’ and appearances at Moisture Festival.
The dates for Moisture Festival in 2020 have been scheduled – March 12th to April 5th – and everyone can expect to see some of the most incredible performers at our annual vaudeville showcase.
The month of June is a month of celebration in Fremont, and the Fremont First Friday (FFF) Art Walk is a great kick-off to all our festivities! On Friday, June 7th, from 6p – 9p, stroll the Center of the Universe for a look at original art, and Fremont Fair posters, and a fundraiser for the Fremont Solstice Parade!
On Friday, May 31st, at 6p, many of Simon Neale’s friends and fans will gather for a potluck Memorial at Hale’s Palladium. Everyone is welcome to join in this celebration of the life of one of Fremont’s long-time contributors.
Last Thursday, May 9th, Simon Neale passed away, leaving a legacy of performance and friendship behind. Neale took part in Fremont Arts Council events, especially the Fremont Solstice Parade, and through collaborations begun there he created the Fremont Players and launched Moisture Festival as one of its founding producers.

As Moisture Festival runs into its second to last week, the Down Under Gallery is displaying some of the hundreds of photos of the performers at the vaudeville showcase, taken by Michelle Bates. Her show, ‘15 Years of Moisture Festival’, captures the magic and mischief of Moisture, in a permanent and collectible form.
he 16th Annual Moisture Festival will feature an incredible line-up of international and local talent – aerialists, magicians, clowns, puppeteers, dancers, jugglers, etc. The Comedy/Variete shows at Hale’s Palladium run March 14th through April 7th, and the Moisture Festival Libertease Cabaret at Broadway Performance Hall runs one-weekend-only, March 28th – 30th.
On Tuesday, February 19th, at 6:30p, the annual Moisture Festival Volunteer Orientation drive and party will take place at Hale’s Palladium.
A reception for local glass artist Rodman Gilder Miller has been announced for Sunday, December 9th from 3p – 6p at the Down Under Gallery (465 N 36th, #C.)
