On Friday, October 5th, starting at 6p, a celebration of the opening of the legendary Moulin Rouge cabaret (on October 6th, 1889) will take place at Hale’s Palladium with the ‘Moulin To Moisture Festival Fundraising Party & Auction.’
The tragedy that hit Seattle on May 30th, 2012 at Café Racer also shattered the Moisture Festival family. Two of the victims of the terrible shooting that took place were Drew Keriakedes and Joseph Albanese. These two talented musicians and entertainers were closely connected and involved with the Moisture Festival since its early days.
On Wednesday, March 21st, a special Moisture Festival performance will benefit the Fremont Arts Council, and the spectacular Solstice Parade. For the Equinox, go enjoy a creative celebration of vaudeville and comedy/varieté with Moisture Festival.
Tickets remain available for this Friday’s Fabulous Fling and Valentine’s Dance at Hale’s Palladium (at 7:30p on February 10th.) On Friday, February 10th, starting at 7:30p, the entertaining minds at Moisture Festival will show Fremonsters how to celebrate with the Fabulous Fling and Valentine’s Dance, an all ages party and auction at Hale’s Palladium!
On Wednesday, January 18th, at 8a, at the Lake Washington Rowing Club, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host its annual gathering for event organizers and community members. Attendees can hear plans about this year’s activities, learn the promotional opportunities available to area businesses, raise concerns about past experiences, suggest improvements, and get involved on the ground level as a volunteer.
See in the New Year with Moisture Festival style, for a zany, all-ages, good time! This Saturday, December 31st, at Hale’s Palladium, entertainers and supporters of the comedy/varieté festival will gather. This Sunday, November 6th, the Backdoor @ Roxy’s will feature two burlesque shows, at 7p & 9p, starring the Backbar Beauties. Fremont’s own speakeasy will go a little more vintage, and a little more racy, as the Beauties bring burlesque to this strictly 21 and over establishment.
