Major Schedule Change Coming to the 2019 Solstice Parade

On Saturday, June 22nd, the Fremont Arts Council will bring the Solstice Parade back to our streets, starting at 1p. This year, for the very first time, the Fremont Arts Council is attempting to formally schedule the Solstice Cyclists and all other painted bicycle riders, for 2:30p on June 22nd – AFTER THE SOLSTICE PARADE.

Join The Fremont Neighborhood Council – Membership Drive On Now

The Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) represents and advocates for the residents of our community. For those residents with a concern, the FNC provides a place for discussion and problem-solving. For the city, and county and state, the FNC provides a place to bring programs and plans that need to be shared with residents.

A Request From Concerned Neighbors of the Fremont Troll

Residents who live near the Fremont Troll, and several of them who clean and maintain the park around the popular sculpture, have crafted a letter and a plea to neighbors to request help from the City of Seattle. They’ve sent out a letter asking everyone to write or e-mail City officials asking for removal of encampments in the park land around the Fremont Troll.

Call For 2019 Arts In Parks Temporary Installations

Through October 23rd, the Office of Arts & Culture has issued a call for artists to participate in the 2019 Arts In Parks, in partnership with the Seattle Parks & Recreation. These temporary art installations or social practice activities are intended to activate the spaces and engage visitors in their surrounding communities.
