Drink Beer; Help Fremont Rotary

Come be one of the first to taste the 2012 Fremont Rotary Brew at Fremont Brewing Company on Wednesday, May 30th from 5p – 9p. The Rotary Club of Fremont (also known as the Fremont Fun Club) will tap a keg of signature brew, created to honor the 12 years of community service the club has completed, and to raise money to fund more helpful projects that benefit Fremont, and the world.

Rotary Fundraisers On-Going & Upcoming!

The Rotary Club of Fremont members continue to sell raffle tickets to raise money for their many wonderful projects. For $30, take a chance to win a cruise to Alaska (makes a great gift!,) plus $600 cash. The raffle ticket drawing will be held Tuesday, June 14th at their weekly meeting. On Thursday, June 16th, from 5:30p – 7:30p, the Fremont Rotary will hold a benefit to eradicate malaria, at Fremont Studios. Tickets cost $20 per person (cash or check only,) with 100% of the tax-deductible donation going to buy mosquito nets for Zambia.

Help Rotary, And Win A Trip for 2 To Alaska

The Rotary Club of Fremont has launched a fundraiser, to support their local and international service projects. Throughout the month of May, 2011, members of the Rotary Club will be selling raffle tickets for a donation of $30 (or 4 for $25 each,) for a grand prize of a cruise for two to Alaska, along with $600 in spending money.

Rotary Awards John M. Rose Distinction On Local Business and Community Volunteer

In November, the Rotary Club of Fremont presented its annual awards. In 2009, the Fremont Rotary (also known as the Fremont Fun Club) decided to formally name these awards in the name of their founding president, the late John M. Rose. Rose embodied many of the high ethical standards envisioned in these awards – and practiced by those to whom it is given. This year, the winners are Roxy’s Diner, for the Vocational Service Award, and Stacy Heilgeist, for the Community Service Award.

Chamber Chat Overheard At Costas

The Fremont Chamber of Commerce general meeting for November, held on the 17th, at Costas Opa contained a lot of food for thought – as well as a lot of good food. Three particular announcements dispelled rumors recently floating around the ‘hood – and proved each rumor, in this instance, to be true.

Fremont Rotary Promotes World Harmony

At their June 29th meeting, the Rotary Club of Fremont welcomed representatives from the World Harmony Run. The representatives chose to honor Rotarian Suzie Burke with their coveted Torchbearer’s Award at a Fremont Rotary weekly meeting.
