Hub And Bespoke Hosts ‘Meet The Maker’ For Telaio

On Thursday, October 27th, from 6p – 9p, Hub And Bespoke, Fremont’s fine clothing boutique for cyclists, will host a ‘Meet The Maker’ party with local clothier, Telaio. Come find out about this Ballard manufacturer, meet the owner/designer Katharine Andrews, and learn about some new products they will be introducing at Hub And Bespoke this fall.

Ready or Not, Here Comes Not A Number!

After nearly six years in Wallingford, the legendary gift shop, Not A Number, has moved on. While owners Kara Ceriello and John DeLeeuw originally started the shop on Queen Anne, they looked toward Ballard for relocation. Yet, the cosmos – and that wondrous pull of the Center of the Universe – drew them to Fremont where they intend to reopen on November 11, 2011, “disseminating progressive ideas and items,” as the shop motto states.

Starting in October, Backdoor @ Roxy’s is open 7 days a week! This offers more opportunities to sample the delicious food, delightful cocktails and demure yet elegant surroundings with your adult friends. Fremont’s new speakeasy (no password needed, but true Fremonsters can find their way to the door behind Roxy’s Diner) provides a great place to relax without the loud music and hectic atmosphere at the trendy hotspots.

Have An Ale & Fight Alzheimer’s Disease On Oct. 8th

On Saturday, October 8th, from 4p – 8p, the Alzheimer’s Association invites all good-hearted Fremonsters (and their drinking companions) to participate in the Ales For Alzheimer’s – Fremont Edition fundraiser. Ten Fremont pubs have agreed to participate in this effort to build awareness and reach out to those with loved ones who have been diagnosed, or died, from Alzheimer’s Diesease, or a related dementia.

Fremont Oktoberfest Happens! This Weekend!

This weekend has plenty going on, but you will truly miss out if you don’t at least stop by Fremont Oktoberfest on Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday, September 23rd – 25th. The fun begins Friday at 5p, and extends to Sunday at 6p – with plenty going on, in addition to serving up great beer!

Bastyr Offers Free Lecture on ‘Healthy Skin through Better Nutrition’

To launch the latest edition of their ‘Living Naturally’ series, the Bastyr Center for Natural Health (3670 Stone Way N) will offer a free talk by a member of the Bastyr University faculty. On Saturday, September 17th, from 10:30 – 11:30a, Clinical Supervisor Phoebe Yin, N.D. will lead a conversation on maintaining and improving your skin through diet adjustments.

Fall Classes Starting At Karin Collins Taijiquan & Qigong
