Grassroots Community Acupuncture To Change Leadership

In mid-March, Marit Hanson sent out a letter to supporters of Grassroots Community Acupuncture advising them of significant changes coming to this small, but extremely accessible health resource, in order that everyone may have plenty of notice. On May 1st, Hanson will be having her last day in practice at Grassroots, although the Community Acupuncture practice will continue.

Fremont Bridge Closures This Weekend

This weekend, March 28th & 29th, in the wee hours (midnight – 7a,) the Fremont Bridge will be closed to all vehicles (cars, trucks and transit) while the construction crew finishes painting the 100-year-old structure. During the closure, two five-minute bridge crossing opportunities will be offered for pedestrians and bicycle riders at 1:20a and 2:20a.

SPL Joins ‘Safe Place’ Network For Teens

The Seattle Public Library system, including the Fremont Branch, has become a part of the Safe Place network in King County. As of now, all 27 branches of Seattle’s public libraries are places where youth, ages 12 to 17, can ask for help when in crisis.
