She's served on the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fremont Neighborhood Council and the Fremont Arts Council, and can be seen wandering the Center of the Universe year 'round. When it comes to Fremont, she likes to say she's full of it!

On Wednesday, November 16th, from 8a – 9:30a, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual ‘Breakfast of Shameless Self-Promotion.’ This popular gathering allows everyone – business owners, philanthropists, event organizers, the underemployed, and/or a City of Seattle Mayor – to share information about their passion with others from our community.

The Doric Lodge #92 – Fremont’s own Masonic Temple – encourages all elementary school children to get reading, and enter the ‘Bikes For Books’ program hosted by the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library. Get Up Close With The Matas Mural at Lama G’s

Last week, on a sunny autumn afternoon, visual artist Jonathan Matas added further to the mural he’s creating for Lama G’s Café. A student at neighboring Nalanda West Center for American Buddhism, Matas has been hard at work on several commission in that area – trim on the windows at Art Of The Table and another mural for the newly relocated Oom Yung Doe martial arts school across the street.
