Get your hands dirty, glittery, sticky, paint-y, or whatever it takes to be creative. Attend a Fremont Arts Council Fremont Solstice Parade workshop (all ages and skill levels invited,) with snacks provided.
Fremont’s Outsider Comics & Geek Boutique will have a booth June 22nd – 24th at the ACE ComicCon being held at CenturyLink Event Center, and the WaMu Theater.
This week, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk, on June 1st from 6p – 9p, launches Fremont Month, along with the Fremont Fun Run & Briefcase Relay going on from 5p – 9p. Both events set the tone for the celebrations to come – showing the fun, culture and creativity endemic to our community.
On Saturday, June 16th, the Fremont Solstice Parade will take to the streets of our community at 1p. This is the 30th Annual Solstice Parade for the Fremont Arts Council (FAC,) and it will end at Gas Works Park, where the FAC will hold its Solstice Celebration well into the night!
On Saturday, June 2nd, from 6p – 10p, the B.F. Day Elementary School PTSA is hosting the Arty Party at Fremont Abbey Arts Center. Come have a great time – and help raise money for programs that benefit our children!
The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture (ARTS), in partnership with Seattle Public Utilities, is seeking to commission one artist/artist team to design, fabricate and install an outdoor, two-part artwork. As part of the Ship Canal Water Quality Project, the City is seeking an art work that celebrates our community identity and history with two points of installation on either side of the Fremont Bridge and Lake Union Ship Canal.

On Friday, May 4th, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont Art Walk gives a cultural and community lead-in to what looks to be a busy weekend.
In support of their new reggae-influenced Grateful Dead cover album, the Roots of Creation will play at Nectar Lounge on May 3rd. This reggae jam fusion band are a touring powerhouse, offering a high-energy, infectious live music experience, performing on May 3rd with the Ethan Tucker Band.
