Book Larder, our cookbook store in Upper Fremont, offers a full calendar of classes, cooking demonstrations and author talks throughout the year. In June, they have plenty of books and classes worth considering, particularly as we all find ourselves with spring and summer bounties of fresh veggies and fruits.

The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar is hosting a meet-and-greet, and wine tasting, with Seth Kitzke of Upsidedown Wine, on Wednesday, May 31st, at 6p. Besides sampling great wine, and learning more about Upsidedown, 20% of proceeds from the sale of each of the five wines to be sampled will be given to four specific non-profits.
The 34th Annual Dusty Strings Folklife Sale takes place May 26th – 29th, over Memorial Day weekend and during the epic Northwest Folklife Festival.
