New Alzheimer Association Report Shows Care Costs Are Growing

The Alzheimer’s Association has released a new report showing that costs are growing for families, and our national economy, with increasing impacts from Alzheimer’s Disease, and other dementias. Also, the death rates from Alzheimer’s diseases continue to rise above national averages in Washington State.

Fremont Chamber Hosts Safety Meeting On Homelessness & City Resources

On Wednesday, March 15th at 8a, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce is hosting an educational event at the Fremont Foundry. This meeting will feature a discussion on City Resources as regards Homelessness, Sharps and other drug paraphernalia, and Housing. Expect an energetic and engaging exchange among business owners and managers, as we find out ways to help and to solve these problems.

Our New Park Gets An Official Name From Seattle Parks

Seattle Parks Superintendent Jesus Aguirre approved the name, based on recommendations from the Parks Naming Committee and public submissions. The Committee officially chose Troll’s Knoll Park for our park due to the common usage of this name by our community and because of the park’s proximity to our sculpture.

On Monday, February 27th, at 7p, at Doric Lodge #92, the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) will host its monthly public meeting, with its Board of Directors. All Fremont residents are invited and encouraged to attend this informative meeting, to learn about issues facing our community and to raise your own concerns with this advocacy organization.
