On Sunday, July 15th, from 2p – 4p, the Music In The Sculpture Garden concert series continues with two great, experienced acts. Come enjoy this free, open-to-the-public, and family-friendly entertainment at History House as Burgundy Pearl and Matt Price perform.
Every year, during the Fremont Fair, the Fremont Baptist Church congregation organizes two fundraisers for the local area food bank. This year 36 volunteers gave, with extreme generosity, of their time to help raise $1,021 for the local food bank.
This Sunday, July 8th, from 2p – 4p, the Music In The Sculpture Garden concert series continues – after taking last week off – with a summer highlight performance. Michael Guthrie will return to the stage at History House inside the covered courtyard along with Carolan’s Corner.
Next Thursday, July 12th, the first ever Fremont Gym-A-Thon fundraiser starts – and participants can get fit while raising money to improve the B.F. Day School Playground.
For the 4th year Fremont will be overrun with Zombies, for the 2012 Red, White & Dead Zombie Walk to take place this Saturday, July 7th, from Noon – 8p. While the actual ‘walk’ (rather more of a mass lurch) will take place starting at 7p, starting at Noon will be ten mobile food trucks, live music, a Thriller Dance performance, a beer garden, and – most importantly – an official counting of the Zombies for another Guinness World Record attempt!
On Friday, July 6th, from 6p – 9p, Fremonsters can walk the art, and enjoy the summer edition of the Fremont First Friday Art Walk.
This Tuesday, July 3rd, Nectar Lounge will host Wil Campa and his orchestra Gran Union starting at 9p. This celebrated musician and the 13-piece salsa band come direct from Cuba to provide the audience with an authentic evening of salsa music.
On Wednesday, July 4th, the annual Family 4th Of July celebration takes place at Gas Works Park, and all around Lake Union. This year Fremont will be fully represented in the midst of it all by The Hallows Church, our newest community of worship.
This Saturday, June 30th, the 20th Anniversary Season of the Fremont Outdoor Movies will start with a Seattle screening of the 20th Anniversary of the film ‘Singles’.
King County METRO bus service may be interrupted, or re-routed, this Saturday, June 23rd, from 5a until mid-day due to the Rock & Roll Marathon.
