The Seattle Art Cars – a favorite feature of the Fremont Fair each year – appeared in the Greenwood Seafair Parade on July 25th, and took 2nd Place from the judges in the ‘wheeled division’.
Every year, during the Fremont Fair, the Fremont Baptist Church congregation organizes two fundraisers for the local area food bank. This year 36 volunteers gave, with extreme generosity, of their time to help raise $1,021 for the local food bank.

The ‘We The People Power’ Festival, on June 16th at Gas Works Park from 1p – 7p, will harness and celebrate the power of community. A series of fun-filled work parties, preparing the games, art and projects to be shared at the festival, will give everyone a chance to enjoy people-power in advance. Every Thursday, leading up to June 16th, at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, downstairs, organizers will gather to build the festival, with orientations taking place at 6:15p for those curious to know more.

Consider enticing friends, family and customers to come for a visit, and a stroll through the fairgrounds June 15th – 17th for arts & crafts shopping, the Fremont Abbey Arts for All area, the Seattle Art Car Blowout, the Solstice Parade, yoga, and the Daddy’s Day Dog Walk.
On Wednesday, January 18th, at 8a, at the Lake Washington Rowing Club, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host its annual gathering for event organizers and community members. Attendees can hear plans about this year’s activities, learn the promotional opportunities available to area businesses, raise concerns about past experiences, suggest improvements, and get involved on the ground level as a volunteer.
Last week, November 8th 2011, Bold Hat Productions announced final dates for three events – Hop Scotch, Fremont Oktoberfest, and the Fremont Street Fair – that they produce in Fremont.
