On Wednesday, February 20th, at 8a, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce invites everyone with something to say to bring it to the Breakfast of Shameless Self-Promotion!
The Emmanuel Bible Church operates a Men’s Shelter through the winter, and they depend upon volunteers to cook or serve a meal to visitors each night. If you, or your group/organization, would be willing to reserve a meal service date, the shelter needs more help – especially on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
At the end of the year, readers of Fremocentrist.com (and attendees at Fremont Festivus activities,) were invited to vote for the Best of Fremont! They voted for the Citizen, Business and Non-Profit that exhibited the best of Fremont’s spirit, and made the Center of the Universe the phenomenal place we know it is!!
On Saturday, February 9th, starting at Noon, the Seattle Cupid’s Undie Run returns to Fremont, and The Ballroom, for the largest pant-less party – with 100% of net proceeds raised going to fund research for neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder.
The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) is involved in two extremely creative and unique events – and they are looking for others to join in the celebrations!
VAM Studios and Syncopation Foundation will host the first Yule Ball, at the dance school, on Saturday, December 29th, from 7p – 11p. Doors open at 6:30p, at the VAM Studios School of Dance, for this Swingin’ Speakeasy, a Harry Potter-themed night of swing dance, costumes, music and creativity.
The Woodland Park Zoo, as part of its work to preserve and care for all animals, has taken in a collection of venomous reptiles and tarantulas.
