On Monday, July 28th from 7p – 9:30p, hear a new play, called ‘Winter Harvest’ by John Ruoff, and participate in a critical discussion, hosted by Playwrights’ Theater. Held in the DownStage Theater, this pay-what-you-can event gives attendees a chance to enjoy a dramatic reading, and become a part of the writing process.
This weekend – Saturday, July 19th at 2p and 7:30p, and Sunday, July 20th at 2p – Doktor Kaboom will put on a live wire show of fun for adults and kids alike, at West of Lenin.
On Monday, July 14th, at 7p, Playwrights’ Theatre will produce a dramatic reading of a draft of the play ‘Air Force Two’ by Christopher Bailey, for an audience of constructive critics at the DownStage Theater (4029 Stone Way N.)
On Saturday, June 28th, from 1p – 4p, join a MeetUp at Makerhaus on ‘Wearables & Stareables’ and creating costumes and jewelry that light up the night, and the show.
Through June 28th, go see ‘To The Naked Eye’, being performed Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at the Cornish Playhouse Studio, in Seattle Center. Tickets cost $20, general admission, with a special discount on Thursdays for those who attend in the ‘clothing optional’ category. Tickets can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets.
At West of Lenin, from June 4th – 8th, the Sandbox One-Act Play (SOAP) Festival will premiere four short plays by local, award-winning playwrights.
Nectar Lounge now offers Mo’ Jam Mondays, a weekly, groove-oriented, improvisational jam by Seattle area musicians, starting at 9p.
On Friday, March 21st, at 7p, everyone is welcome to watch – or participate – in a community salon gathering at Little Heart Space called ‘Use Your Outside Voice!’ Described by organizers as the Seattle version of ‘Prairie Home Companion,’ this salon offers an opportunity for guests to share their talents in a super low-stress, supportive environment, hosted by Kate Gavigan of The Seattle Artist’s Way.
The Moisture Festival, in its 11th year, takes over the stage – and thousands of imaginations – at Hale’s Palladium starting March 20th. The run will continue this year through Sunday, April 13th – which may sound like a long time, until tickets start getting sparse. Buy today!!
