On April 10th, the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) held its monthly meeting of the Committee Of the Whole (COW) at the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Ave N.) FAC Board Secretary, Christie Wolf, recorded the meeting minutes and posted them recently on the FAC Yahoo e-group.
As reported in the Fremocentrist.com for April 4th, the Seattle Police Department took delivery of a Kvichak Marine Industries 45’ Response Boat Medium – C (RBM-C,) to be named Patrol 9. A press release received this week confirmed delivery, and also reported that Kvichak is currently building two additional RBM-C vessels for the New York Police Department.
The Fremont Neighborhood Council Annual Meeting, on Monday, April 23rd, has something to interest residents as well as business people, artists and all other kinds of Fremonsters – all at the Doric Lodge #92 starting at 6:30p.

The annual FAC Rummage Sale will take place this Saturday and Sunday, April 21st & 22nd, from 9a – 4p, at the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Avenue North) with all proceeds going to the building of the 2012 Solstice Parade. Find some treasures, and help with the ‘glue-and-scissors’ fund for the Parade.
On Saturday, April 21st, the 11th Annual Fremont Troll Stroll, to benefit Cystic Fibrosis research and care, will wander its way among the drinking establishments at the Center of the Universe. To be a part of the fun, and fundraising, register with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for $45 by Thursday, April 19th.
On Monday, April 9th, 2012, Richard Sternoff Beyer passed away following a serious stroke he sustained on March 27th. Beyer is survived by his wife, Dorothy Scholz-Beyer, and his children Elizabeth Beyer Miller and Charles S. Beyer, and two step-children, Charles Scholz and Anna Scholz Godas, and 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
The Fremont First Friday Art Walk gets moving this Friday, April 6th from 6p – 9p. This month Adobe Systems Inc has joined the line-up of participating venues, with art work by Kate Protage.
Donations are needed to fill the shelves of the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) Rummage Sale, with all sales going to support the 2012 Solstice Parade. The proceeds often provide the popular parade with a much needed infusion of initial cash.
