On Saturday, July 16th, organizers have promised the last Fremont Outdoor Cinema. After 24 seasons, a summer favorite is relocating to South Lake Union – with one farewell show on the iconic parking lot at Phinney Ave N & N 35th Street.

On Tuesday, July 12th, at 6:30p, Book Larder will welcome author Caroline Wright, talking about the innovative and remarkably easy way to bake luscious, flavorful cakes detailed in her book ‘Cake Magic!’ This free author talk offers an opportunity to meet the maker, and purchase signed copies of the book.

On Saturday, July 23rd, at 7p, the Wallingford Community Senior Center will host ‘A Night In Spain’ paella dinner to benefit its programs and services, with tickets available through Brown Paper Tickets.
On Monday, July 11th, at 6:30p, the Fremont Branch Library will host another installment of its quarterly poetry series, in partnership with Floating Bridge Press, presenting three local poets reading their original works and participating in an open discussion about their poems, and this art form.
ReAct Theatre has returned to West of Lenin to bring us Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Annie Baker’s ‘The Aliens’, with performances running Fridays – Sundays through July 24th. Directed by David Hsieh, check out this production of an Obie Award-winning play called, “the best of 2010,” in the New York Times.
Starting on July 11th, a short portion (100-feet) of the Burke-Gilman Trail, near to the Aurora Bridge in Fremont, will close to all pedestrian and cycle traffic. The closure is scheduled to last until October 31st.
On Sunday, July 10th, from 2p – 3p, children (with parents it tow) can see Magician Jeff Evans and his Magically Ridiculous Game Show, for free, at the Fremont Branch Library.
