Key Bank Gives $1000 to B.F. Day

On Saturday, April 9th, the newly opened Fremont Branch of Key Bank welcomed a number of celebrities and community folk. Key Branch Manager for Fremont, Samira Salchic, presented Principal McCloskey with a $1,000 check for our local elementary school, B.F. Day.

Held Over By Popular Demand – FAC Rummage Sale

This Saturday & Sunday, April 9th & 10th, grab some bargains – while supporting the Solstice Parade! The annual Fremont Arts Council (FAC) Rummage Sale will be open for business from 9a – 4p each day, at the Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Ave N,) selling a great variety of donated items from local artists, organizations and other fabulous Fremonsters.

MS Pub Crawl Staggers Through Fremont on March 12th

The annual pub crawl to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research, in the form of donations to Molly Johnston’s team in the MS Walk on April 3rd, will take place on Saturday, March 12th, with kick-off at 4p at the Red Door, and the raffle drawing at 7p at The Ballroom.

Moisture Festival Brings Romance To Valentine’s Eve

On Sunday, February 13th, 2011, from 6p – 10p, Moisture Festival will hold the most romantic of all fundraisers – for what says love more than square dancing… At Hale’s Palladium (4301 Leary Way N.W.), the aerialists, musicians and ghost of Mae West invite Moisture Festival lovers, and supporters, to come experience a night of romance.

OAR NW Adventurers To Appear At Seattle Boat Show

Now at the Seattle Boat Show, at Qwest Field Event Center, through Sunday, January 30th, will be four men who plan to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a 29-foot rowboat starting in December 2011. Atlantic Ocean Rowing Race veterans Greg Spooner and (Fremonster) Jordan Hanssen, Olympic Gold Medalist Adam Kreek, and former UW rower Richard Tarbill will be available from 10a – 8p each day of the Boat Show to answer questions about their experiences, and plans.

Everyone Wins At Books For Bikes Drawing at Fremont Library

On Saturday, December 18, four youngsters walked off with new bikes – thanks to Doric Lodge #92 and Wright Brothers Cycle Works – from the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library. Yet, all kids and parents – and involved citizens – who attended the short but very sweet ceremony ultimately won. With generous distribution of pizza, chocolate and certificates of participation, plus the sense of accomplishment and pride that pervaded the room, all attendees got caught up in the celebration.
